What do our animals eat?
The truth is, there is a big difference between grass-fed and grass-finished meat and many people don’t even know it. The term “grass-fed” does not necessarily mean that the animal was raised on grass and grass alone; this statement only means that the animal ate grass at one time. Simply put, a “grass-finished” animal ate only grass and forage for their entire lives.
The quality, taste, and flavor of Bear Hollow Ranch meat is directly tied to what they eat. Our animals rotationally graze on our pastures, eating grass only. This allows them to express their natural herd behavior and consume the vitamins and minerals that the land provides.
